As you head downtown to see a show some evening, take a side trip past Chaparral Electric!
Our new warehouse, designed by Mullen Heller Architects, features state-of-the-art LED lighting. The red strips of light accent the unusual angular building design and mimicks the neon lighting that used to be the signature look of Rt. 66.
The design has attracted attention, garnered awards, and been featured in articles.
GBlog called the lighting "Tron-esque" and raved, "Are warehouses supposed to look this cool? Are warehouses in Albuquerque, New Mexico supposed to look this cool?"
Linda Higgins-Davidson, who has done lighting design on all of Chaparral's design-build projects, said the LED lighting "provides an awesome visual contour that might not be readily apparent during daylight hours. It essentially lights up the entire parking area using only 160 watts."
